How it began...

I’m Vikki Healy, owner of Blitz2Glitz, a holiday home cleaning business established more than 11 years ago. After having my fourth child, and not wanting to return full time to my Childcare Assessing role, I was eager to find a new role that would fit around family life. And so the idea for 'Blitz2Glitz' began....

Servicing holiday homes in Harrogate

While working as a part-time Child Assessor, an opportunity arose for me to look after one holiday let on my days off, doing changeover cleans between guests staying. Before long, one property became three, and then ten, and soon I’d left my job to set up my own business!

Meeting an inspiring couple on holiday gave me the aspiration to grow the business even further, so I met with holiday letting agents and gained my linen hire contract. Within no time at all I’d started to look after more and more holiday homes in Harrogate and had grown a team of cleaning staff.

I’ve set in place the protocols to ensure all my cleaning staff work thoroughly, ensuring a high standard of cleanliness and presentation. We are here to really care for your holiday home, as if it is our own, especially if owners live far away.

We’re very much a family-owned cleaning business, and my husband is a big part of the day-to-day running - not only can he put his hand to fix most things, he’s also a whiz with spreadsheets!
